Text Mines

Text Mining is a way of accessing primary sources throughout the times. When you text mine, you are searching for a word or a phrase and finding how often it has appeared in text. It is a primary source of research. There are two types of databases that I have access to that are useful in text mining. They are as follows: Time Magazine Corpus which has primary and secondary sources from 1923-2006 provided by Brigham Young University (BYU) and the Google Books Corpus which is a lot more broad with works from the 1500′s to 2000′s in multiple countries including America. This is what I will use to prove my point that the use of scientific CSI phrases increased in the 2000′s. I will only be using the former in my research. Now, I will begin the text mining with the first phrase mentioned: scientific evidence.
